It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged, dear readers. My apologies! It’s been a whirlwind fall season with lots of exciting projects on the books! We just completed three exclusive trend books for Anisa International – the mothership of all makeup brushes used by companies like Estee Lauder, SmashBox, Sephora, etc; and we’re spinning awesome creative stories for the luxury cashmere brand, Hector & Lola. Add in a few trips to the East Coast and we’re just catching our breath now.
To get back into the blogging-swing-of-things, I thought I’d start off with a few catwalk and resort collection photos that have piqued my interest. It’s no secret that fur is HUGE right now – especially colored fur vests and coats. It’s an easy fit for winter weather and matches beautifully with our desire for texture and personality. But our fascination with augmented silhouettes and tactile details has been transformed into a kind of passion for the felt world. Which is to say, we want to literally feel the sights and sounds and smells of our real-time environments. We want color and pattern and texture and contrast and hot and cold. We want to be both educated and entertained (“edutained”) and we expect our clothes and accessories to participate in this world of play.
