2015 Oscars | What They Wore – Or Should Have!

Oscars 2015 | What They Wore

The 2015 Oscars are here! The 2015 Oscars are here!

Without a doubt one of the most important nights in fashion and a movie star’s life, the 2015 Oscars Award Show has finally arrived. And, like any good theater goer, I’ve been watching and re-watching all the contenders and marking my ballot in anticipation.

Undoubtedly, big nights bring big pressure, i.e., “What will I say if I win?” “Who should I thank?” “What if I trip going up to the stage?” And the BIGGEST question, “WHAT DO I WEAR??!” There are so many memorable Oscar moments and gowns…Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, and Halle Berry come to mind. And let’s not forget Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly or Hilary Swank. (See the top 25 Oscar gowns of all time, HERE.) BUT, inevitably and unfortunately, there are some incredibly poor choices on the red carpet. So as any avid trend forecaster and fashion stylist would do, I’ve taken it upon myself to select the PERFECT gowns for all our leading lady nominees. Ladies, I can promise you a win on the red carpet if nowhere else. But keep in mind that this is no simple selection process. We have to take age, weight and personality into consideration for starters. Then, cross-reference these initial indicators with what’s trending on the runway, most popular and upcoming colors, along with silhouette, print, pattern and texture.

As I tell all my potential styling clients: “Call me, darling. We can do better.”
